Blacks Beach – La Jolla, California
Nestled beneath the soaring sandstone bluffs of La Jolla, Blacks Beach is where the Pacific turns dramatic and bold. Here the sea surges with hollow right and left breakers that roar straight from the deep - a playground for only the most daring souls wielding hefty surf sticks on rolling swells that mock the timid. Locals whisper of waters formed by hidden canyons offshore, offering waves that lift tall and break with a hungry curl against the sun-dappled sand. Few venture down the crumbling trail and fewer still dare paddle out: to ride these spectacular breakers is to dance with the ocean itself. This is California’s wild splendor - nature’s own razzle-dazzle for those few audacious enough to answer her call.
FIELD REPORT
La Jolla, California
FBI Field Report - Crime Scene Observation
Received tip regarding multiple young men observed partying heavily along the beach the previous evening in the company of a young woman described as having long red hair, athletic build, and erratic behavior. No recovered tissue or hair samples correspond to any female subject.
The remains were retrieved from commercial fishing nets just south of the point. Multiple human body parts were found compressed together, torn, and compacted in a manner inconsistent with blade injury or marine scavenging. Sections of wetsuit material were threaded through the mass. No blood trail was present in surrounding water. The nets showed no structural damage.
Several vagrant surfers were present at the scene, having followed the storm and established temporary camps along the shore. They appear to exist without stable residence or occupation. While of no obvious social utility, they are citizens and not legally subject to disposal by unknown forces.
Local fishermen state the remains “washed in already like that.”
The ocean was calm at time of recovery. The tide was rising. Heavy storm off the coast but not expected to make landfall. If it does, no chance of ever recovering evidence.
